ABOUT US

As a culmination of a mixture of collages, large and small, to represent what it is like to live in one's own studio, Mari directed this project to open her heart and spill out every corner of her life. Mari is a Visiting Lecturer in English at UIC. The art was put into motion by the art therapy she joined in both grad and undergrad. The artist claims depression as a chronic illness. She started with collages and integrated abstract painting into the mix. Here's to still being here and being vulnerable
